Aarti Madhusudan
Aarti is an alumnus of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bangalore. She is the founder of Governance Counts, an initiative that helps strengthen the Boards of NGOs.
Aarti has worked both in India and abroad on the subject of good governance. Her clients have included ActionAid International, Sense International, the Resource Alliance, Magic Bus, Dignity Foundation, Dasra, the India Foundation for the Arts and many others. Her work in governance includes identifying key Board related issues and recommending good practice guidelines. She also enables NGOs find appropriate Board members as part of this.
Aarti is passionate about volunteering- she has founded and runs Whiteboard, an initiative within iVolunteer, that brings senior level corporate professionals together as a group to provide advice and strategic guidance completely probono to NGOs in their cities. She actively volunteers herself with the Daan Utsav, the Joy of Giving Week, India's largest giving festival, and she has a keen interest in the classical arts, being trained in Carnatic music.
Dave Wallack
Dave Wallack is a founding trustee of IFMR Trust, a private trust with the mission of proving complete access to finance for every individual and every enterprise. He currently leads innovation and leadership across the IFMR Trust group. Previously he served as Executive Director and Chief Design Officer of IFMR Rural Finance and CEO of IFMR Ventures. Before coming to India, Dave was a political campaign consultant for statewide and national level political candidates and nonprofits and an executive coach working with executives in technology and entertainment. He received his MBA from Stanford University and did graduate study in Demography at Georgetown University. Dave is from the United States, but has been living in Chennai since 2007.
Manivannan JK
Manivannan is the Chief Executive Officer of DesiCrew. An alumnus of Anna University and IIM Bangalore, Mani’s professional experience spans across three sectors -The Government (ranked 44th in the prestigious UPSC examination), Private (ICICI Bank) and the Non-profit sector (Byrraju Foundation). He has a distinct advantage of hands-on experience on both sides of the social divide – urban and rural. He was largely instrumental in implementing GramIT – the rural BPO initiative of Byrraju Foundation.
He strongly believes that a successful business model in rural India can lead to significant social transformation.
While the banker in him aims at winning deals and strategies, his tenure with rural India has complimented his quest for creating value driven, lasting economic solutions. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and his leadership skills were recognized when he was selected as ‘Emerging Leadership International Fellow’ by City University of New York.
Ranga Kanapathy
Ranga Kanapathy is the Director of Data Technology at PayPal India and leads Global Data Operations, Infrastructure, Quality and Release Engineering teams. He has strong expertise in establishing cost-effective and company-wide visions, and leading geographically dispersed and multi-cultural organizations.
Prior to PayPal, Ranga was a co-founder of Snobol Computers Pvt. Ltd., where he focused on the sales and marketing of software and hardware products. He moved on to work with multinational companies including CSC, Visa, Mattel, Esurance, and Fisher Price. Over his career spanning 20+ years, he worked across Financial, Credit Cards, Insurance, Retail, and Manufacturing domains.
Ranga is a strong proponent of a Technology-centric culture that drives today’s young technologists. He is a people-centric person and strongly believes that the success of any team depends on people getting more connected. His mantra is “Do what you love and love what you do”. Ranga holds Bachelors in Commerce and Masters in Computers from College of Engineering, Anna University. He is an ardent lover of music and plays several processional instruments and enjoys playing cricket and volleyball. He lives in Chennai with his wife and two sons.
